The Labette County High School Cross Country Invitational (Haley’s Run) was held Thursday, September 5, 2013

The J.V. boys placed 1st as a team with 3 top 15 finishes.  Noah Murray led the team with a 7th place finish, followed by Kyle Woolfolk 13th, Ryan McKinzie 15th, Alex Martin 17th, Ian Triebel 18th, Dylan Royer 20th, Lane Britton 23rd, and Trey Morgan 47th.

The Varsity Girls only had 4 runners this meet. Five is needed to make a team.  Leading the girls were Michaela Ozier placing 8th, Samantha Workman 31st, Meredith Reitemeier 33rd and Madeline Holzem 35th.

The Varsity Boys took third place as a team with George Langston placing 11th, Cord Hall 16th, Mitchell Kelly 19th, Jacob Webster 23rd, Jared Hawks 25th, Garett Britton 50th, and Bryce Yarbrough 53rd.

I was pleased with the results of our teams.  They have worked very hard in this rebuilding year. I was pleased with Michaela’s placing. Southeast Kansas has some really strong runners this year.

The Varsity boys made a strong showing this year being led by Junior George Langston and I’m really proud of the effort made by Freshman Noah Murray in the JV race.

All of the LCHS Cross Country runners have worked exceptionally hard and the results reflect their efforts.

Thanks,

Coach Marty Warren
