First Quarter Ambassadors

September 29, 2017

The purpose of the Ambassador program is to begin allowing students to participate in leadership roles within the school setting. 34 students grades 3-5 filled out an application and then based on their application they were selected for an interview. Students were also required to seek out a reference who would speak about their character. The students are selected for a quarter and will be the representative for their class. The students will attend some trainings with the assistance of Greenbush out of Girard. In addition, students will help various projects with their teachers or other school personnel. For example; the students are working on a service project to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims. The kids went around to all the classrooms today and encouraged students to bring coins for their project, entitled, "Coins for a Cause" all of the money raised will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. These ambassadors will remain in their positions until the end of the quarter, then we will go through the process again for the 2nd quarter and select new ambassadors.
