Students Compete in Rube Goldberg Competition
Three teams from Carolyn Waugh's 7th and 8th grade science classes from Bartlett Elementary competed in the first annual Rube Goldberg competition at Greenbush on Tuesday, April 17th. During the competition, the simple task of watering a plant was made complex by adding a maximum of 75 steps. Students were judged on repurposing of everyday items, the "laugh barometer", theme or story, artistry and construction, and absurd complexity. They were also judged by how the machine runs, communication, and teamwork. The 3 Bartlett teams captured the top 3 overall places.
