PAT Program & Enrollment Information

Labette County Parents as Teachers is a FREE child development/parenting program provided for families who are expecting or raising children under the age of three. PAT provides well-researched information to help you make informed parenting decisions for your child and family. PAT is not a “do this/ don’t do that” approach to parent education.

Parents who enroll in Parents as Teachers can expect 1-2 personal visits a month, periodic developmental screenings, connections to needed resources and monthly group connections that link you to other parents.  Visits provide you an opportunity to look at your child’s development and talk about the parenting challenges you face right now.

Be involved in your child’s early education, connect to your child through play and reading and be confident in your role as a parent.  What you do with your child now influences how well they will succeed in life.

For more information or to enroll in Parents as Teachers call Rebecca Allen at 620-784-5321, ext. 1065 or email rallen@usd506.org
