Members of Meadow View FAST team (Families and Schools Together) dressed as book characters for Literacy Night at the weekly meeting last Tuesday. FAST is an eight week program designed to empower parents and enhance family leadership. Each team member read a book representing their character. Then the children shared about a book character they'd like to dress up like and told why they liked that particular book. Title I Director, Sam Hestand, also presented a power point on MTSS, and provided progress reports for each child represented in the FAST Family.
Band students from across the district have been busy getting ready for the annual Neewollah parade. It's an exciting time as students, not only learn new music for the performance, but for many of them, are learning how to march for the first time! In preparation for the event, many students have done "practice" performances . . .
