INVITATION TO BID
Specifications for Purchase of Off-Lease 24 Passenger Lift School Bus(es)
USD 506 is currently taking bids for an Off-Lease Used 24 passenger lift school bus that meets the attached minimum specifications. (Any exceptions must be noted in bidder’s proposal)
The following bidding requirements must be met by all bidders submitting a proposal.
- Please list all included or optional warranties that come with the bus you are bidding.
- Selling dealer must hold a New/Used Vehicle Dealer License issued by the State of Kansas Department of Revenue. Further, they must be a school bus dealer authorized to perform manufacturer’s warranty work on the bus they are proposing. A copy of the current Kansas Dealer License must be included with the bid. (NO EXCEPTIONS!)
- All proposals must meet the requirements of the school bus chassis and body construction standards promulgated by the United States Department of Transportation in addition to the minimum standards as required by the Kansas State Department of Education and KAR 91-38-4 at the time of construction of the particular bus.
All bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope or email to firstname.lastname@example.org, clearly labeled Used Bus Proposal in the lower left-hand corner of the envelope with the date of bid opening also clearly labeled in the lower left-hand corner. All bids must be received before 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021, to the following:

The bids will be opened and read aloud during this time. All bidders are invited to attend the bid opening.
Any proposal received later than the specified time, whether delivered in person or mailed, shall be disqualified. The district reserves the right to reject any/or all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the USD 506 and waive any formalities of bidding.
