Bartlett Teacher Awarded at KFAC Conference

Mrs. Melinda Littrell traveled to Manhattan, Ks Friday November, 9th to attend the annual meeting of KFAC.  She was one of three Kansas teachers that received the 2018 Kansas Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture in Teaching Awards.  Mrs. Littrell is one of the many great staff members we have at BGS and we are all extremely proud of her! Congratulations Mrs. Littrell, you are very deserving of this award!

Students Compete in Rube Goldberg Competition

Three teams from Carolyn Waugh's 7th and 8th grade science classes from Bartlett Elementary competed in the first annual Rube Goldberg competition at Greenbush on Tuesday, April 17th. During the competition, the simple task of watering a plant was made complex by adding a maximum of 75 steps. Students were judged on repurposing of everyday items, the "laugh barometer", theme or story, artistry and construction, and absurd complexity. Bartlett Yearbook Staff

The Bartlett Yearbook Staff have been hard at work making our school a great book of memories from our 2017-2018 school year to look back on.  Mrs. Wilson along with a handful of students have been putting in long hours after school to accomplish this for our students and staff! Scholar Bowl Team Travels to Altamont

Our Scholar Bowl Teams traveled to Altamont on March 8, 2018. Division Team 1 came out on top with a 1st place win! Division 2 Team  came home with the 2nd place win! These students have shown such dedication and have worked very hard! We are all so proud of them! WAY TO GO BARTLETT BRAVES!!!!!!

Work on greenhouse has started!

We are so excited that our greenhouse is starting to look like a greenhouse!  Thanks to Mrs. Beason , her husband and brother, Mr. Falkenstien , and Mr. and Mrs. Farrow the new Bartlett Greenhouse is over half way finished.  We would like to thank Frontier Credit and our wonderful PTO for funding us!!! Mrs. Beason  has also donated many supplies and has been teaching horticulture to the 3rd- 5th graders.  Our students have been working very hard on this project, our school can't wait to check out our . . .

Bartlett Scholar Bowl Take Home Two Medals

Congratulations To The Bartlett Braves Scholar Bowl Participants!!! These students have been working hard for the past two weeks preparing for our district scholar bowl.  They were able to bring home 1st place in division 1 and 2nd place in division 2.  The students and their coaches would like to thank our district for allowing us to take part in this great event!

Geography Bee

  Geography Bee    Congratulations to our 30 Geography Bee Contestants on a Job Well Done! Kendall Holtzman was our 1st place winner!!! Katie Zwahlen took 2nd place followed by a three way tie for 3rd place by Cecillia Newby, Charlie Alloway,  and Kenadie Carter Matthew Eberhardt, Trace Falkenstien, Paige Davis, Wesley Caldwell, and Gracie Moore are also among our top 10!

Bartlett Jr. High Band Students

Band students, Shelby DuVall and Gracie Moore, are getting ready to march in the Parsons Christmas parade.  Bartlett 7th and 8th grade band students joined other  Jr. High band students from the district to form the USD 506 Junior Grizzly Marching Band. The band marched in the Altamont and Parsons Christmas parades.

Wild Braves head to Erie for the Mountain Man Rendezvous

The Braves at the Mountain Man Rendezvous The Bartlett Brave students traveled to Erie on December 1, 2017 to the Mountain Man Rendezvous. They spent the day learning how the mountain men lived.  We got to see how they earned their living, lived off the land, and their surroundings.  The students were able to participate in many activities that day from archery to. arts and crafts.

TIc- Tac- Toe PBL
