First Quarter Ambassadors

  The purpose of the Ambassador program is to begin allowing students to participate in leadership roles within the school setting. 34 students grades 3-5 filled out an application and then based on their application they were selected for an interview. Students were also required to seek out a reference who would speak about their character. The students are selected for a quarter and will be the representative for their class. The students will attend some trainings with the assistance of Greenbush out . . .

Helwig named AGS Spelling Bee Champion

Congratulations to all our Spelling Bee participants who participated in the AGS Annual School Spelling Bee on Tuesday. Madisyn Helwig will be traveling to Oswego in October to compete at the county level. Way to go Madisyn! Kaitlyn Carson was our 2nd place winner and Eryn Thomas was our 3rd place speller. 

AGS- Teacher Recognized by Pitt State

On Tuesday morning at Altamont Grade School, Kindergarten teacher, Teresa Leake was notified through an all school assembly that she had been awarded The “PITSCO Educator of the Game” from Pittsburg University. Leake’s kindergarten students paraded through the gym to present Mrs. Leake with a carnation from each student to help celebrate this honor.   Mrs. Leake was nominated by her administrator, Mrs. Tiffany Flatt at the beginning of September.
