Labette County FFA Livestock Team Crowned State Champions at FFA Competition

Launch the media gallery 1 playerMANHATTAN, KAN. - Labette County FFA Livestock judging team achieved great success at the State FFA Competition hosted in Manhattan, KS, thanks to the collective efforts of Isaiah Dick, Trace Falkenstien, Bryce Overman, and Katie Zwahlen. The team was declared the State Champions after months of dedicated hard work and thorough preparation. Labette County dominated both the placings and oral reasons aspects of the contest Isaiah Dick placed 1st in the placings and Katie Zwahlen placed 1st in the oral reasons individually. Moreover, in the overall contest, Katie Zwahlen received the first position and Trace Falkenstien came in at 8th. The students had to evaluate eight classes of cattle, goats, sheep, and swine and provide three sets of oral reasons defending their rankings in the contest. The team's tremendous achievement illustrates their dedication and hard work toward the project.
